Planet Lumen is a world everyone plays in together. These rules are here so that everyone can play in a way that is fun, safe and fair. These rules are part of the Terms of Service. Breaking them carries the penalties in section 9.
1. Core Principles
- Respect other players the way you want others to respect you.
- Play fair: do not cheat, and do not take advantage in ways the game was not meant to be played.
- Protect your own account and personal information, and those of others.
- If you run into a problem, a bug or someone breaking the rules, tell the staff. Do not retaliate yourself.
2. Talking and Chat
Not allowed in chat, mail, character names, guild names or any other channel in the game:
- Using vulgar language, verbally abusing or insulting others
- Harassing, threatening, bullying or stalking others, or inciting others to hurt anyone
- Demeaning people for their race, nationality, religion, sex, gender, disability, age or appearance
- Sexual, pornographic or obscene content, or content unsuitable for minors
- Cruel violence, self-harm or drugs
- Political or religious content that stirs up conflict
- Spamming repeated messages, using junk characters, or disrupting the chat channels
- Advertising products, services, websites or other games
- Sending suspicious links, scam links or harmful files
- Revealing other people's personal information, such as real names, addresses, phone numbers, photos or social media accounts, without permission
Tip: do not share your own personal information in chat, and do not meet people you know from the game alone.
3. Impersonation and Scams
- Do not impersonate the staff (GM), the operator or other players.
- Do not scam people in trades, the World Market, mail or parties, for example by promising to give an item and then not giving it.
- Do not trick people into giving you their password, or persuade others to tell you their account details.
- Real staff will never ask for your password, OTP code or card details.
4. Fair Play
- Do not use cheat programs, bots, scripts, macros, auto-clickers or game-modification programs. The auto-play feature built into the game may be used as normal.
- Do not use bugs or loopholes for your own benefit, for example generating items or money, walking through walls, or attacking monsters from places where they cannot do anything back. If you find a bug, report it to the staff.
- Do not use multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage, for example farming rewards, farming events, or moving items into one account to get around restrictions.
- Do not deliberately disrupt other people's play, for example by repeatedly stealing their monsters, blocking their way, or dragging monsters over to attack others.
- Do not take payment to play for others, and do not let others into your account.
5. Trading and the In-Game Economy
- Buy, sell and trade only through the in-game systems (World Market, trades, mail).
- Do not buy or sell accounts, items, Star Gems or in-game currency for real money or for anything in return outside the game (real-money trading, RMT).
- Do not manipulate prices, fix prices with others, or use multiple accounts to trade with yourself to distort the market.
- Do not use the World Market to launder items or currency obtained improperly.
- Always check the items, prices and quantities carefully before you confirm. The staff does not return items bought, sold or traded by mistake because of a player's own error.
- Accounts that request a refund or make a chargeback are barred from trading currency in the World Market for 1 year, under the Top-up and Payment Policy.
6. Parties, Guilds and Dungeons
- Share loot and rewards as agreed within the party. The staff does not settle private agreements between players.
- Guild leaders and party leaders must not use their position to bully members.
- Do not choose guild names or post guild announcements that break the rules in section 2.
7. Character Names and Guild Names
Names must not:
- Be vulgar, obscene or demeaning, or refer to drugs or violence
- Impersonate the staff (for example, by containing the word GM or Admin) or famous people
- Be a brand name, or infringe the rights of others
- Be personal information, such as a phone number or social media account
Inappropriate names may be changed without prior notice.
8. Reporting
- You can report players who break the rules through the in-game menu or by contacting the staff, with details and screenshots (if you have any).
- Do not make false reports, or report someone again and again to harass them.
- You can block players yourself in the game. Messages from a player you have blocked will not reach you.
9. Penalties
The staff decides based on the severity, the intent and the account's history. Example guidelines:
| Level | Examples | Possible penalties |
|---|---|---|
| Minor | Spam, mildly vulgar language | Warning, chat disabled for 1–24 hours |
| Moderate | Verbal abuse, harassment, inappropriate names, disruptive behavior | Chat disabled for several days, account suspended for 1–7 days, name changed |
| Serious | Exploiting bugs, scams, using multiple accounts for an unfair advantage | Items taken back, account suspended for 7–30 days, World Market suspended |
| Very serious | Cheat programs, bots, RMT, buying or selling accounts, impersonating staff, payment fraud | Permanent ban |
Repeat offenses make the penalty heavier. The staff may give a heavier penalty than these examples if the act is severe or causes a lot of damage. You can appeal under section 8.3 of the Terms of Service.
10. Staff
- The staff will not give items, Star Gems or special privileges to any player personally, except through announced events or announced compensation.
- The staff will not ask for your password or payment information.
- Treat the staff politely. Verbally abusing or harassing the staff carries the same penalties as doing so to players.
11. Contact
- Email: [email protected]
- In game: contact the staff (GM)
